About MonoMaaa
In the wake of what has been called a “women revolution” in Iran in 2022, we have found it necessary to reflect on the stories that have led to this massive uprising to shed light on the history behind this movement. They are not only stories of Iranian women, but rather stories of many women in the Middle East whose lives were restricted by fundamentalists rules. MonoMaaa has brought some of those narratives together, true stories experienced by those who brought this monologue festival to life.
